Yoga

Classes: $17 / $14 student concession. All classes start at 6:00 pm, run for 75 mins, and are followed by delicious Soulfood dinner and dessert.

Monday: Vinyasa – Flow Yoga

Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, Muni, your teacher, will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

Expect movement, not just stretching.

Tuesday: Astanga

Astanga Yoga with Miki will realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility and stamina. The series of postures begins with sun salutations and moves into standing poses, seated poses, inversions and backbends before relaxation.

Wednesday and Thursdays: Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga, these classes are not too fast-paced and not too static. You will move through yoga asanas (postures) in a dynamic fluid sequence, in a short time you’ll be feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and peaceful in mind. Gita teaches on Wednesday and Sukanthi teaches on Thursday

What to wear: comfortable loose clothing that allows freedom of movement.

What to bring: All yoga equipment is provided. You may bring your own mat if you prefer, or a towel to cover your mat. If possible bring an empty stomach, its better for your yoga and you can save space for the delicious Soulfood dinner & dessert afterwards.
